DMR2YSF Bridge and Kansas City Wide

November 22, 2021 WØFH

For those who use a DMR radio and a hotspot connected to US-KCWIDE via the DMR2YSF bridge:

When someone transmits on Fusion using the VW (voice wide) mode, that transmission cannot be passed to DMR. VW mode is a full-bandwidth mode, and is not bridged to a half-bandwidth DMR channel. The Fusion DN mode is half-bandwidth, and bridges to DMR without any problem.

If you’re only hearing one side of a conversation, this is likely the reason.
